Information on Voting

Below is some general information on the voting process for the PC Leadership.  If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our campaign office at (902) 201-9431.

How will I get my voting PIN?
If you had a valid email address on file with the PC Party of PEI you will be receiving your PIN by email.  If you didn't, you'll be receiving the PIN by Canada Post.

When will I get my PIN?
PINs will be issued sometime between January 31 - February 1, 2019.

Where do I vote?
All voting is being conducted electronically.  Members have two options to electronically cast their ballot:  online (computer/tablet/smartphone) or by telephone.   When you receive your PIN there will be instructions on the two options available.

What if I don't get my PIN?
Call the PEI PC Party Office immediately and they will help troubleshoot this issue with you. You can call (902) 628-8679.

What if I need help voting?
This is a new process for voting for our members so we understand that some may need assistance.  If you need assistance please feel free to contact our campaign office at (902) 201-9431.  You can also call 1-833-579-5673 and the company providing the electronic voting system would be happy to assist you.

What if there are multiple members of the PC Party in our household?
If there are multiple PC Members in your household you will be receiving a unique PIN for each of the members.

When can I vote?
Voting will start on Friday, February 1st at 9:00 am and closes on Saturday, February 9th at 3:15 pm.

How do I mark the ballot?
The PC Leadership is being conducted by preferential ballot.  That means, you will rank the candidates #1 through #5.  #1 being your top choice and #5 being your least preferred choice.
For example: If you are supporting Dennis King as your top choice you would mark him #1 on the ballot.

Can I still renew my membership?
Yes!  As long as your membership is expired less than 4 years ago (January 31, 2015) you are still eligible to renew your membership and vote in the leadership.

You can still renew your membership online before February 3, 2019 at 11:59 PM.  Members who renew online must use a credit card in their own name and PINs will be issued electronically before the convention.

For members who do not renew before February 3, 2019 at 11:59 pm, they can still attend the convention and renew in person and vote before 3:15 pm on February 9th.  Voting stations will be available at the convention.
